Genetic analysis - Endometrial Receptivity Array (ERA)

The Endometrial Receptivity Array (ERA) test is a genetic test that indicates the exact time when an embryo is most likely to implant into the endometrium in the uterus. The timing is unique to each individual woman. By performing the genetic test ERA more than 200 genes that determine the optimal timing of embryo implantation are analysed.

When is the ERA test useful?

The ERA test can be considered if transfer of several good-quality embryos in repeated IVF treatments has failed, or if the woman has suffered from repeated miscarriages. ERA may also be appropriate when carrying out IVF with donated oocytes. In connections with these indications, ERA has been proven to increase the success rate, since it indicates the exact day and time when the endometrium in the uterus is at its most optimal and receptive state for implantation of an embryo.
Sampling of endometrial tissue in the uterus and subsequent genetic analysis can be carried out at GynHälsan Fertility Clinic (Minerva Fertility).
