Treatment with donated sperm or eggs

Treatment with donated sperm or eggs is an option for couples and singles who need assistance with fertilization. The reasons why this may be relevant are many, for example social reasons, lack of sperm or eggs, reduced buffer-supply of eggs, absence of pregnancy, and inheritance for specific diseases that can be avoided through donation of gametes.

Donation at GynHälsan Fertility Clinic

Fertility treatment with donor insemination or donor IVF (eggs or sperms) is performed at the GynHälsan Fertility Clinic/ Minerva Fertility. The treatment is offered to couples as well as single women. We have no waiting times for treatment with donated gamete cells; eggs and sperms are available.

Donated gamete cells are handled in accordance with current legislation, which means that only known donors may be used. This also means that a resulting child, at a mature age, has the right to obtain information about his or her genetic origin.
